Northlake Mall Changing Youth Supervision Policy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Northlake Mall will be changing their supervision policy for teens starting on August 13, according to a news release from the mall owner Spinoso Real Estate Group.

According to the news release, Northlake Mall’s Youth Supervision Policy will require visitors 17 years and younger to be accompanied at all times by a parent or an adult aged 21 and older starting at 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The current policy required youth to be accompanied by an adult starting at 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

“The Northlake Mall’s Supervision Policy (YSP) is established to ensure all guests can enjoy a safe, pleasant, family friendly shopping environment,” according to a Spinoso Real Estate Group spokesperson. “We encourage persons aged 17 and under to enjoy the mall with a parent or supervising adult on Friday and Saturday evenings.”

Concord Mills recently updated their youth supervision policy as well. The new policy started on July 30.
