A lockdown at Hough High School has been lifted after Cornelius Police gave the all clear following a bomb threat at the school Friday afternoon.
Police say an individual called the school and stated there was a bomb located somewhere inside.
Students and staff were evacuated safely and no suspicious items were found after a search of the school, according to police.
Detectives are now working to determine who made this threat.

CORNELIUS, N.C. — Cornelius Police are investigating an “active situation” at Hough High School. Mecklenburg County EMS is also on the scene.
Parents have been directed to Bailey Road Park. Students are being evacuated to the football stadium.
