3-Year-Old Girl Found After Being Abducted From Charlotte Home

Police say 3-year-old Marlaya Patterson has been found after being abducted from her northwest Charlotte home Sunday morning.

Detectives say they located the girl following an extensive investigation.

Corey Patterson is charged with the murder of 27-year-old Jaqusica Wilson.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Marlaya Patterson after police say she was allegedly abducted by her father from her northwest Charlotte home.

Marlaya Patterson is described as a Black girl, 3 feet tall, 40 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say there is one abductor allegedly involved, Corey Lamont Patterson, 31.

Corey Patterson is described as a Black man, 5 feet 6 inches, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities say Patterson was last seen leaving a home on Swan Drive in Charlotte in a silver 2012 Ford Escape with NC license tag number BDB2527.
