Local Woman Reunites With Dog Missing For 2 Years Thanks To Microchip

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A reunion almost two years in the making for a local woman and her missing dog!

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control officer got a call about a stray dog on March 6th. When the officer arrived to Wildwood Avenue in northwest Charlotte, they picked up the dog and scanned him for a microchip. The dog had one, and the information linked to it was up-to-date.

The officer was able to contact the dog’s owner, who drove from Kings Mountain to reunite with “Ruger” right away. Animal control says the reunion was happy and tearful.
