Students With Disabilities In Rock Hill Build Greenhouse Using Recycled COVID Desk Shields | PHOTOS
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Special education students with a Rock Hill middle school will be gardening in their brand new greenhouse made of recycled COVID desk shields on Friday in celebration of Earth Day.
Officials say the construction of the new greenhouse was partially funded by SCDHEC as part of an environmental grant program and affords students the opportunities to learn about composting, the environment, sustainability, and so many life skills.
Students will care for their greenhouse and do some planting starting at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22nd.
