Two Cornelius Men Face Federal Charges In Connection With Multi-Million Dollar Investment Ploy

CHARLOTTE, N.C–  Two residents of Cornelius are facing federal charges due to their involvement in a multi-million dollar investment scheme.Β 

Β The suspects, Marlin Hershey and Dana Bradley, both 52, were faced with a criminal indictment by a federal grand jury on Friday, April 22. Each will be charged with mail and wire fraud conspiracy, mail fraud, security fraud, and money laundering conspiracy.Β 

According to a news release, Hershey and Bradley lead various victims to invest millions of dollars into unregistered security offerings. The indictment alleged that the investments materials provided by Hershey and Bradley contained misleading statements.Β 

The indictment also includes a notice of forfeiture, which gives notice that Hershey and Bradley must forfeit all of the property involved to the United States. The government will pursue a forfeiture money judgment in the amount of at least $7.5 million.
