Police Dog Finds Drugs in Two Student Vehicles At Lancaster High

LANCASTER, S.C.Β  – A police dog alerted officers of drugs in two vehicles belonging to students at Lancaster High on Tuesday, April 26th, according to a news release.

A search was initiated on two separate vehicles where drugs and drug paraphernalia were found.Β 

After another alert from the police dog, aΒ second unconnected vehicle was searched. Two containers of marijuana and a pistol were found in the truck, according to a news release.Β 

Lancaster County School District says the student possessing a gun in the truck will face criminal charges from law enforcement.Β 

Neither of these events occurred inside of the school.Β  Both students will face disciplinary actions as prescribed by board policy.
