It is a blustery start to the month as temps drop near freezing this morning. The northwest breeze will make it feel like the teens and 20s this morning. Increased fire danger the next few days as relative humidity levels drop to the 20-30% range. This along with the dry brush and breeze means fires could get out of control quickly. Check with local officials before doing any burning, but best to hold off on any bon firesΒ for the next few days. Temps will remain chilly today with highs only reaching the low 50s — a good 15-20 degrees below average. Overnight lows will fall into the 20s. The record for Charlotte tonight is 29, which is a record we could tie, if not break. Tomorrow temps will remain chilly, but it won’t be as cold with highs back in the mid 50s. Temps will climb near 70 this weekend.
