Sunshine, Warmth Build

Temperatures will approachΒ record-highΒ territory again by midweek.

Sunshine and good times carry through the first weekend of November. Highs will easily clear the 70ΒΊ mark again on Sunday in the Piedmont and Foothills while the High Country enjoys temperatures closer to 60ΒΊ. The warming trend continues into the first full week of the month. Highs will approach record territory near 80ΒΊ by midweek as winds shift out of a more southerly direction. Cooler air arrives by next weekend as a rainmaking system slides in from the west.

It’s not a shoo-in, but some much-needed rain may arrive by the end of the coming week. It won’t be much, if anything, but we’ll take whatever we can get as moderate and severe drought cover all 22 counties in the WCCB Charlotte viewing area. Regardless, temperatures should end up near or below average by the second weekend of November.
