Tasty Tuesday: Chef Kartez Shares Grandmother’s Buttermilk Pie Recipe

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Today is National Pie Day. Chef Kartez took over the Rising kitchen and shared his grandmother’s recipe for a Buttermilk Pie. The recipe is simple and easy to follow. You can find it below.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Buttermilk

2 Cups Sugar

3 Eggs

3 Tablespoons Flour

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Flavor

1 Teaspoon Lemon Flavor

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 Stick Of Butter

Directions:

Cream butter, sugar, flour and egss together. Add vanilla, lemon and cinnamon flavors and buttermilk. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake 45 minutes or until brown at 375 degrees.
