The Salvation Army Of Cabarrus And Stanly Counties Partners With Subaru Concord And Operation Warm To Bring New Winter Attire To Children In Need
CONCORD, NC (News Release) — More than 250 new coats and 250 new socks and shoes were delivered for distribution to children served by The Salvation Army Tucker Center of Hope Shelter on Wednesday, February 21st. Subaru Concord partnered with Operation Warm to donate all items.
The coats have a fleece lining and deep pockets to help keep the kids warm. The shoes are very kid-friendly, with durable soles that are lightweight and comfortable. At the Center yesterday, and in the future as needed, children have a wide range of sizes and colors to choose from.
“We are so pleased that Subaru Concord is now in a partnership with Operation Warm, enabling us to gift warm coats and shoes with socks to children served by The Salvation Army. The coats and shoes will fulfill an immediate and ongoing need in our community,” shared Bill Musgrave, Retailer, Subaru South Charlotte and Subaru Concord. “These essential items help keep children protected, warm, and dry and can significantly impact a child’s mental and emotional well-being. These items can mean the difference between attending school and participating in activities or sitting out. No child should ever have to face these circumstances.”
“At The Salvation Army Tucker Center of Hope, we see children entering with only the clothes on their backs,” said Lt Lara Sassano Corps Officer for The Salvation Army of Cabarrus & Stanly Counties. “This distribution is a timely blessing for the families and children who utilize our services. Many times, families in crisis do with “good enough”, hand me downs, or used items that are too small or too big but it’s such an act of love and care that the children participating in this event will receive new items that fit them as they are, now.”
Operation Warm manufactures coats, shoes, and socks to the strictest industry standards – ensuring that kids love how they look and feel.
