Wintry Mix for the Mountains Friday AM
Wet and cold with widespread showers for the rest of the region
Discussion:
Temps have dropped overnight into the 20s and 30s. Wind chills in the mountains making it feel like the single digits and teens. Highs today will remain a few degrees below average in the mid 50s, but it will stay dry. A wedge will keep temps cool and clouds locked in tomorrow and a disturbance moving along the southeast coast will bring more wet weather to the region. A wintry mix likely across the higher elevations before changing to a cold rain. Temps won’t get out of the 40s. We’ll begin to dry out with isolated shower chances Saturday. Highs will reach the low 60s with temps warming into the upper 60s Sunday. Watching next week for a disturbance that could bring storms to the region mid-week.
