Animals Killed In Kannapolis House Fire
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – One family is displaced and multiple animals were killed in a house fire in Kannapolis on Sunday morning.
The fire happened around 5 a.m. on Sunday, March 10th.
Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the home and immediately started putting out the blaze along with search and ventilation operations.
Authorities said they rescued multiple pets from the home, but some died from their injuries in the fire.
The occupants of the home were able to escape the fire prior to the fire department arriving.
The American Red Cross is helping the residents at this time.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
