Discussion:
A cold front is moving through the area this morning. Much drier and cooler air will slide into the region today. Highs will struggle to break out of the upper 50s. It will be breezy as well with woundsΒ outΒ of the NW 10-15 mph. Fire danger concernsΒ for the mountains and foothills with the drop in relativeΒ humidity levels. Overnight, a freeze warning goes into effect for the Piedmont as temps dip near if not below 32. This will extend through 10am Tuesday. Temps will be even cooler Tuesday afternoon with highs in the upper 50s. By mid-week temps will warm back up to the low 70s. A series of cold fronts won’t be bringing rain back to the forecast but it will keep temps in the mid 60s Thursday. A low pressure system will bring widepsread rain to the forecast by Friday. We could see lingering showers through the weekend.
