Mount Holly Police Arrest Two Individuals In Homicide Investigation That Began In January

Mount Holly Police have arrested two individuals in the homicide investigation that took place on Gander Way on January 18, 2024, according to a news release.

The release states that D’Majay Robinson, 18, was located and arrested on April 18 and was charged with the first degree murder. Police officers say they also arrested a juvenile in connection to the murder on April 22 and charged with juvenile with first degree murder.

“These arrests are a testament to the tireless work of law enforcement,” stated Chief Brian Reagan. “We extend our gratitude to the U.S. Marshals, Gaston County Crime Scene Investigators, and the CMPD Crime Scene Investigators for their invaluable assistance in bringing closure to this tragic case. Our hearts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time.”

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. – An investigation is underway after a juvenile was found fatally shot in a driveway on Thursday, January 18th, according to a news release.

Police responded to a distress call regarding a shooting incident on Gander Way near Rankin Lake.

Upon arrival, officers say they discovered a male victim lying in the driveway of a residence, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Immediate life-saving methods were performed until paramedics arrived. Despited the efforts of officers and paramedics, the victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss our community has experienced once again and offer our condolences to the families,” stated Chief Brian Reagan. “Our department is actively investigating this incident, and we are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice. We are asking for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Mount Holly Police Department.”

Due to the age of the victim and ongoing family notifications, the victim’s name will not be released at this time.
