Affordable Housing Project Approved In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte is moving forward with a plan to build more affordable homes.

City Council approved more funding for a $62M project Monday night. As you can see on the map, the homes will be built all around the city including 100 apartment units in northeast Charlotte on Mallard Creek Road.

In total, the project will bring 240 apartments and 19 houses to the city. About $50M of the nearly $63M project is funded by the housing bond voters passed two years ago.
