Discussion:
Light sprinkles and patchy dense fog will greet you on your way out the door this morning. Fog will lift by 9-10am with a sunny and dry day ahead. Highs will top out in the low 80s this afternoon. Temps will rise through the end of the week as a ridge of high pressure keeps the forecast stable and warm. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s through Friday. An unsettled pattern sets up this weekend. A disturbance will bring a few storms to the region Friday, but things become more unsettled this weekend. A moist and unstable atmosphere will keep afternoon rain and storm chances in the forecast this weekend which is more of a pattern we expect to see during the summer. Although the severe threat is low, some storms may train bringing heavy rain and the threat of localized flooding. If you’re heading to the Lovin Life Music festival or any Cinco de Mayo events be sure to stay weatherwise. Temps will heat up next week with highs back in the upper 80s to near 90.
