Discussion:
Temperature will be heating up this week with highs slightly above average today. This morning we have some patchy fog and a few spotty showers. Coverage of storms will increase this afternoon, especially if the sun peeks through any over the course of the morning and early afternoon. We’re looking at more of a summer-like pattern through Wednesday with temps reaching the mid to upper 80s Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Pop up storms will be possible each afternoon. A strong cold front will approach from the west Thursday. Strong to even severe storms will be possible with the greatest threat right now being damaging winds. It will be something to watch toward the end of the week. Rain chances will diminish through the day Friday as the front clears the region. The weekend will be much cooler and drier with highs in the mid 70s,Β perfect for all of those Mother’s Day plans or the final days of the Wells Fargo Championship if you are planning on attending.
