Discussion:

Ongoing strong storms this morning, included a severe warned storm in Chesterfield County. Heavy downpours and frequent lightning. We have damage reports coming in from Cleveland and Chester Counties. Expecting more once people get up and try to get out on their morning commute. We’ll see more showers after this initial wave, but we could see another round of storms after 6-8am impact rush hour, but the severe threat will decrease through the morning. If we see a lot of clearing early in the afternoon we may see another round of severe weather take shape this afternoon. Scattered storms possible Friday south of I-85 early as the cold front lingers close the area. It will be cooler with temps near 80 today and tomorrow. This weekend will be beautiful with highs in the mid 70s, low humidity and sunshine. Early next week severe threat returns with another strong disturbance.
