Isolated Severe Threat Saturday
Biggest Threat = Damaging wind and flooding
Discussion:
Patchy fog possible once again this morning with clouds filling in throughout the day. Scattered showers will begin this afternoon, becoming more widespread this evening as a warm front lifts near the region. Isolated severe threat Saturday as a low pressure system slides near the Carolinas toward the coast. Biggest severe threat looks to be just south of the area, but damaging wind and heavy downpours leading to flooding will be a concern. The low pressure system will be off the coast Sunday with wrap around moisture and a wedge of cooler air keeping temps below average with highs near 70. The low will move further off the coast next week leading to a nice drying trend with highs getting back into the mid 80s by mid-week.
