Dry Stretch to Start the Week

High pressure off the coast will keep the forecast warm and sunny this week. Highs today will reach the low 80s across the Piedmont and Foothills with highs reaching the mid 70s for the mountains. Temps will climb through the week with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s by Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front arrives late week with rain and storm chances increasing late Thursday for the mountains and into Friday for the rest of the region. The front will stall keeping rain and storm chances in the forecast through the weekend.
