Discussion:
We’re starting off the day with patchy fog, low clouds and lingering showers. Temps will warm into the low to mid 80s this afternoon. If clouds can clear earlier in the day, the threat for severe storms will increase as several upper level disturbances and a cluster of storms out of the south will provide some added juice as storms begin to organize this afternoon. Our biggest concern will be localized flooding, damaging wind, and a low but not zero tornado threat. These storms will likely linger, but weaken overnight into early Thursday. Cold front is back on track to move through the area a bit more quickly. We will likely see some storms Thursday, but the severe threat is looking much more limited. Drier air pools into the region Friday with a nice drop in humidity for the start of the weekend. Temps will remain warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s Friday and Saturday. Moisture will stream back into the region by Sunday with more storms possible Sunday night into the start of the next week.
