Discussion:
A cold front will bring widespread rain and storms this afternoon. A few storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind and lightning the biggest threats. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s under partly sunny skies ahead of the storms. This cold front will stall leading to more numerous showers and storms Friday and Saturday. Highs will be a few degrees below average, topping out in the mid 80s through next week. By Sunday, a series of upper level disturbances will ride along the stalled front leading to more widespread rain and storm chances. Rainfall totals 1-3″+ will be possible through early next week which could lead to localized flooding, especially for any storms that train over the same area. By the middle of next week high pressure will begin to build back in leading to more scattered storm chances and slightly warmer temperatures.
