Temperatures Steadily Ramp Up
You have the green light for all outdoor activities through the next five days as rain chances remain out of sight.
The fall feels were in full swing this Thursday morning as lows reached into the 50s in the Queen City for the first time since June 1st – 81 days ago. Below-average temperatures persist for the time being, but don’t expect this autumnal trend to stay for the long haul. Highs will slowly, but surely, build over the next several days as we head into the weekend. Afternoon temperatures will flirt with the 90s by Sunday, and it only gets hotter from there. Expect mid-to-lower 90s to carry through the first half of the week ahead, possibly getting even hotter by the end of next week.
While our newfound taste of fall may not last much longer, the drier air will. A strong ridge of high pressure will keep rain chances at bay for at least the next five days. You have the green light for all outdoor plans within that timeframe. Dew points will also slowly rise over the coming days, but humidity levels should be tolerable through the start of next week. The Atlantic remains surprisingly quiet.
