CHARLOTTE, N.C.Β β A homicide investigation is underway after the body of a missing teen was found on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Officers located the body of 15-year-old Anthony Smith on Silverleaf Road near Old Pineville Road.
Police said Smith was found with a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.
Smith was reported missing earlier this month on September 4th.Β
An investigation is ongoing.
