Harris Teeter To Assemble 2,500 Thanksgiving Meal Kits For Families In Need

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – On Monday, Nov. 4, Harris Teeter associates will assemble 2,500 Thanksgiving meal bags.
The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina will later give those bags to families in need to ensure all families have a Thanksgiving meal this holiday. The bag assembly is hosted in conjunction with Harris Teeter’s annual Harvest Feast food and fund drive, which invites shoppers to round up their transactions at checkout to benefit its hunger relief partners.
Each Thanksgiving meal bag will contain food for a family of four’s Thanksgiving meal, including turkey breast, stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, rolls and cake mix, plus a reusable Harris Teeter shopping bag. Harris Teeter partnered with Bruce’s Yams, Idahoan Foods, Kraft, Betty Crocker, King’s Hawaiian and Ocean’s Spray to make this donation possible.
This bag-packing event is one of several Harris Teeter will host throughout November in various locations as part of its annual Harvest Feast programming. This is the 13th year Harris Teeter is hosting a bag assembly in Charlotte in partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
