New travel trend has passengers looking for “The Gate Escape”

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Airline passengers are making “The Gate Escape” in an attempt to avoid “poor airport experiences.” Booking.com has released its annual travel prediction list for 2025. It shows 27 percent of travelers are now factoring in specific airports when choosing a destination, with 52 percent feeling more excited and less stressed when airports have unique experiences.
