Amber alert issued for 2 missing girls in Haywood County

HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. — An amber alert has been issued for two girls missing from Haywood County.

According to the NC Center for Missing Persons website, officials are looking for 3-year-old Kinley Maelena Stepp and 12-year-old Alazay Shelby Rose.

They are believed to be with Jacob Grant Aaron Stepp.

Officials say the girls were taken from a home on Ben Medford Drive in Waynesville.

They may be in a white 2016 Dodge Challenger with black racing stripes.

The car could also have a fake North Carolina license tag plate number “KMC-5951.”

The girls may be in the area of the Cherokee tribal land.
