In This Position, You Will
Generate sales revenue for WCCB-TV & Bahakel Digital through effective sales techniques to meet goals for:
- Television Advertising – using all available traditional local products, including an abundance of sports like ACC football/basketball and NASCAR Xfinity with great local appeal.
- Digital Advertising & Marketing – both station assets and 3rd party extension products, particularly programmatic/streaming.
- New Business Development – strong new business development skills are key to success in this role.
Build and manage client relationships and help define media strategy and ROI goals. Establish relationships with clients and the community and manage accounts including small businesses, small to mid-sized advertising agencies and media companies through:
- Prospecting
- Discovery and customer needs analysis
- Proposal planning, coordination, creation and presentation
- Negotiation and sale closing
- Campaign optimization and pace monitoring
- Post-sale reporting, analysis and campaign renewal
Our Ideal Candidates Have:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and handling traditional agency media advertising. In addition, minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience strategizing and selling digital marketing and advertising campaigns (programmatic, streaming/CTV, paid social, SEM, etc.).
- Strong organizational, written and presentation skills and are proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Wide Orbit experience is a plus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills while working independently or as part of a smart, sophisticated and fun team.
- Strong quantitative and negotiation skills.
- Internal drive to succeed. Must not be afraid to cold call.
- Business acumen related to linear television/traditional media, new business development, and digital marketing/advertising.
- Professional appearance.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
