CHARLOTTE, NC – The Plaza Midwood business district in Charlotte is excited to host its annual Merry Midwood Market and Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2 to 7 PM at 1600 Central Ave.
This beloved community gathering will offer something for all ages to enjoy.
The festive event will feature:
- A winter market with local vendors selling unique holiday gifts
- Ornament-making station presented by the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association
- S’mores station
- Homemade hot chocolate
- The Improper Pig food pop-up
- Festive drinks by Spirits of Alchemy
- Letter writing station for kids to send their Christmas wish lists to Santa
- Visit with Santa arriving at 4 PM
- Tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 PM
“The Merry Midwood Market and Tree Lighting is a wonderful way for the Plaza Midwood community to come together and kick off the holiday season,” said Erin Hunter, Marketing + Events Manager for the Plaza Midwood Merchants Association. “We’re thrilled to host this annual tradition and invite everyone to join us for a day of festive fun.”
The event is free and open to the public.
Parking is available throughout Plaza Midwood’s business district and surrounding neighborhoods.
