Preparation for NYE celebrations underway in Times Square

NEW YORK, N.Y.– Let the countdown begin! In New York City, “2025” has arrived early in Times Square. The giant, seven foot tall, “2025” numbers touched down on the Broadway Plaza Wednesday morning. The four numbers are made up of 620 LED bulbs. Spectators can get a close up look at the display on The Plaza between 46th and 47th street until December 23rd. The numerals will then be put on top of One Times Square. The New Year’s Eve in Times Square was celebrated as early as 1904. The New Year’s Eve ball made its maiden descent from the flagpole atop One Times Square in 1907.
