DOJ suing Walgreens

The Department of Justice is suing Walgreens.

The Feds are accusing the pharmacy giant of knowingly dispensing millions of unlawful prescriptions, including for opioid pills.

The DOJ filed a civil complaint against Walgreens Thursday. It claims that since 2012, Walgreens pharmacists allegedly ignored red flags that indicated prescriptions for controlled substances were likely to be unlawful.
