DHS Secretary Noem visits Helene survivors in western NC

ASHEVILLE, NC – Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, visited western North Carolina Saturday, to meet with Hurricane Helene victims and survey the damage. Noem talked with reporters saying that the Federal Emergency Management Agency will speed up aid response and recovery in future disasters, adding that Trump’s presidential executive orders are helping bring more aid to the region. 2,600 families have signed up for help since President Trump visited the area two weeks ago.
