Mudslides and flash floods slam scorched LA area

LOS ANGELES, CA.– Some of the same Los Angeles area residents recovering from wildfires, are now dealing with mudslides. That’s after an atmospheric river caused flooding on burn scars overnight. Meteorologists say the burn scars were no match for the torrential rain. Officials say mudslides closed some of the Pacific Coast Highway. The famous Duke’s Restaurant is among the spots affected. Officials also say a debris flow in the Hollywood Hills dumped around eight inches of mud on Mulholland Drive. In Malibu, police say another pushed a car into the ocean. As for homeowners, officials say multiple counties were under evacuation warnings and orders.
