PepsiCo and Bojangles pay tribute to first responders in honor of local officers killed in the line of duty
PepsiCo’s Rolling Remembrance, a 14,000 mile-relay of an American war- flown-flag from Seattle to New York to raise awareness and encourage donations for the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, made a stop at the Bojangles location on West Boulevard in Charlotte.
To honor the brand’s commitment to supporting the military and celebrate this noteworthy relay, Bojangles invited the community to welcome the Rolling Remembrance truck’s arrival, led by a CMPD escort, while also enjoying a presentation of arms by West Charlotte High School JROTC and national anthem by the award-winning West Charlotte High School marching band, the pledge of allegiance, a performance of God Bless America and remarks from key spokespeople.
Both companies, based in Charlotte, held a special tribute for the four officers who lost their lives a year ago this week.
As a show of appreciation and support during the difficult week, all members of the CMPD and all first responders will be treated to a free meal throughout the day at that location with proof of valid ID.
