CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Zumper Charlotte Metro Area Report analyzed active listings last month across metro cities to highlight the most and least expensive cities and those with the fastest growing rents. The North Carolina one bedroom median rent was $1,177 last month.
Check out this list of the most expensive, least expensive, and fastest growing rent in the Charlotte area.
The Most Expensive
- Charlotte ranked as the most expensive city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,470.
- Mooresville was the second priciest with rent at $1,400.
- Kannapolis ranked as third with rent at $1,190.
The Least Expensive
- Statesville was the most affordable city with one-bedrooms priced at $1,040.
- Gastonia ranked as the second least expensive with rent at $1,090.
- Hickory was third with rent at $1,130.
The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)
- Gastonia saw rent climb 9%, making it the fastest growing annually.
- Statesville was second with rent increasing 7.2%.
The Fastest Growing (M/M%)
- Huntersville had the largest monthly growth rate, up 5.6%.
- Gastonia & Charlotte were tied for second with rents both climbing 2.8%.
- Mooresville ranked as third with rent increasing 1.4% last month.
