UPDATE: Man accused of killing Waxhaw woman in SC remains in jail after no bond set

UPDATE:

COLUMBIA, SC – A South Carolina man charged with the murder of a woman from Waxhaw remains locked up without bond.

Alexander Dickey faced a Municipal Court judge in Columbia on Tuesday. During the hearing, the judge decided not to set bond, and referred the case to Circuit Court.

Dickey is accused of shooting 22-year-old Logan Frederico in the chest during a robbery at a home in Columbia on May 3, 2025. Frederico was in Columbia visiting friends.

Dickey is charged with murder, two counts of first-degree burglary, three counts of grand larceny, three counts of theft of a financial transaction card, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

COLUMBIA, SC – The man accused of breaking into a home in Columbia, South Carolina and killing a woman inside will face a judge for a bond hearing Tuesday.

Alexander Dickey is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Logan Federico of Waxhaw. She was in Columbia visiting friends.

A GoFundMe has been set up to raise funds to pay for Logan’s funeral and help her family. So far, more than $33,000 have been raised.
