Charlotte-Mecklenburg FOP fails to secure enough votes in bid for “no confidence” outcome against CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police did not receive enough votes to validate an outcome in the no-confidence vote against CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings.
The FOP had voting open for nine days. The vote was set before Jennings announced his retirement.
As part of his separation package, he’ll receive more than $300,000 in pay and benefits.
