Survey: 4 North Carolina businesses voted the most investable

A new survey revealed that four North Carolina businesses were voted the most investable, according to MarketBeat.

The study surveyed over 3,000 people across the United States and asked one question: If you had $10,000 to invest in just one small business, who would get the money?

Among the 116 small businesses across the U.S., four are based in North Carolina with the top business based in Greenville, South Carolina.

Insightsoftware in Raleigh came in 11th, Bee Downtown in Mooresville ranked 39th, AIT in Cornelius was 96th, and Keen Decision Systems in Cary was 105th.

Insightsoftware offers finance and reporting tools to provide smarter insights. Founded in 2018, insightsoftware has seen 187% growth.

Bee Downtown installs and maintains beehives on corporate campuses and has clocked in at 74% growth over three years.

AIT provides tailored IT solutions, business intelligence, product management, and human capital consulting for small and mid-market businesses. Founded in 2015, it has grown 127% in three years.

Keen Decision Systems helps marketing and brand teams make smarter strategy moves with predictive analytics. Founded in 2010, they’ve grown by 116% over three years.

Small businesses are the heartbeat of local economies— and this list proves people aren’t just cheering from the sidelines. They want to put their money where their values are. Whether it’s solar energy in Hawaii or spicy chicken in Connecticut, Americans are clearly paying attention to the businesses making a difference right outside their front door,” says Matt Paulson of MarketBeat.

The No. 1 small business that respondents wanted to invest in was Big Money Retirement Solutions in Greenville, South Carolina. The business offers fiduciary financial planning for individuals and businesses close to retirement. The company has seen over 700% growth over three years.
