Iredell Co. Sheriff’s deputies say missing 8-month-old baby has been found and is safe

IREDELL CO., N.C. – The Iredell Co. Sheriff’s Office says the suspect and the infant have been located and that the baby is safe. They say the investigation is on going and they will update when they have more information.

IREDELL CO., N.C. – An Amber Alert is being sought for a missing 8-month-old baby who deputies say was taken from western Iredell County. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Carmen Edith Rodriguez is accused of taking her daughter, 8-month-old Samantha Roetzel, without custodial rights.

Pic1 Pic2 Rodriguez is accused of taking the infant from 114 Cotswold Court, Statesville. She drove away in a black in color Kia K4 sedan with a Virginia License Plate TCB-9808. The car is a Hertz Rental. There is also an unknown Hispanic female in the car as well.Pic3

Rodriguez may possibly be headed in the direction of Mecklenburg County. If you see her, or the vehicle she is believed to be driving, please call 911. Investigators also request people share this information on social media.
