Scattered showers return to the region Thursday
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 50s. Some mountain communities will fall into the 40s tonight.
Tuesday: Similar to Monday with low humidity and highs near 80.
Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the low 80s. Scattered showers return to the mountains.
Thursday: Warmer with increasing humidity. Highs in the mid 80s. Mountain scattered showers.
Friday: Sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s. Scattered to numerous showers in the mountains.
Tropics:
Odds are increasing that a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic will become a tropical depression toward the second half of the week. Environmental and atmospheric conditions are conducive for development. Most models show this system turning into the open Atlantic before reaching the United States, but it is still too soon to know for sure. We will watch this closely.
