Summer-Like Heat Ahead of Rain
Rain chances return Thursday
Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Wednesday: A summer-like fall day with high temperatures close to 90°.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. PM scattered showers with coverage increasing late.
Friday: Cloudy, scattered showers through the day. Highs in the low 80s.
Saturday: Scattered showers and storms. Highs in the upper 70s, near 80.
Tropics:
– Hurricane Gabrielle is still a major hurricane, but has reached its peak intensity. Steering currents will continue to drive this storm away from the United States.
– There is a tropical wave with a high chance of development. This could become a hurricane this week or by this weekend. Some models are suggesting this system will follow Gabrielle’s path – possibly farther west. We will watch it.
– There is another disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles. This has a medium chance of development, but is one we should watch. A tropical depression or storm could form near the Bahamas this weekend.
Have a wonderful evening!
