On & Off Showers Have Returned
Forecast:
Tonight: Isolated showers in the piedmont with numerous activity in the mountains. Partly cloudy and warm. Lows in the low 70s.
Thursday: Partly sunny and breezy. Highs in the upper 80s. PM scattered showers and storms. Isolated storms could produce damaging wind.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, scattered showers through the day. Highs in the low 80s.
Saturday: Scattered showers and storms. Highs in the upper 70s.
Tropics:
– Hurricane Gabrielle is moving farther away from the United States. Hurricane Warnings have been issued for the Azores.
– Tropical Storm Humberto has formed in the Atlantic. The future of this system is in question for a few reasons. Another disturbance (talking about this below) could interact with this system. This could weaken one system or change the track of one. We also do not have a clear view of the steering currents. There will be an upper level low pressure, but where and how strong is at question. As of now, everyone on the east coast needs to watch this.
– There is another disturbance east of the Lesser Antilles. This has a high chance of development. For reasons stated above, we need to watch this.
Have a wonderful evening!
