CMS coach arrested, accused of shooting into occupied property

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A CMS coach was arrested Wednesday after being accused of shooting into an occupied property, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Dia’Mond Johnson, 27, was arrested by the York County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with two counts of Shooting into Occupied Property.

CMPD said Johnson was a CMS non-faculty member coach.

The shooting happened off school property and did not involve any students, teachers or school facilities, CMPD said.
