Fatal RV fire under investigation in Concord
CONCORD, N.C. – An investigation is underway in Concord after a fire at an RV park left one person and their dogs dead early Friday morning.
The Concord Fire Department was dispatched to an RV park off Amy Lane NW in Concord around 12:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found an RV fully involved with the fire spreading to two nearby RVs.
The fire was controlled by 1:07 a.m. but one person and their pet dogs were found dead inside, officials said. Another person inside that home was able to get out and was treated for minor burns.
Two people from the neighboring RVs were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
