It’s time to bundle up, as sub-freezing temperatures move in later tonight. After a stretch of crisp fall days, winter is sneaking in a little early, and it’s bringing some serious cold along

for the ride.

When you wake up tomorrow morning, expect to feel it immediately. Temperatures are forecast to drop into the mid-20s, flirting with near-record lows for this time of year.

That means you’ll want to protect your plants, leave a slow drip on your faucets, and make sure your furry friends have a warm place to stay indoors.

While it’ll be cold enough here in the Queen City, the mountains are in for an even frostier night. Mountain areas will see temperatures in the teens, with wind chills dipping into the

single digits the kind of cold that makes even your thickest winter coat feel questionable.

The bright spot? Sunshine is making a comeback tomorrow. But even with plenty of it, don’t expect much of a warm-up, highs will struggle to reach the low 50s, keeping things brisk throughout the day.

By the middle of the week, we’ll start to climb back to more typical fall temperatures. In fact, by the end of the week, we might even flirt with the 70s again! We’re also looking dry from

Tuesday through Friday, giving us several days of calm, sunny weather to thaw out. Our next potential weather system could try to move in by the end of next weekend, so enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Warmer days are just around the corner!
