Increasing clouds going into Thursday

Slightly cooler going into Thursday

Tonight, will remain dry but increasing cloud coverage stays in place with overnight lows across the region in the mid 50s.

Thursday continues the trend with a mild and comfortable afternoon, with highs once again topping out in the mid-70s. Tomorrow morning starts off cool, with lows near 50 degrees, so you may want a light jacket early on. Through the day expect a mix of sun and clouds. It won’t be gloomy, but you’ll notice the sky filling in more than it has the last couple of days, hinting that we are about to see a shift. A few showers are expected late tomorrow evening into early Friday staying just north of the Metro area.

After a brief bit of rain Friday morning clouds will take over much of the day.  Temperatures still manage to stay mild in the low to mid-70s. For most of the day, we remain dry, but late Friday evening into the overnight rain will move into the area for the start of our Saturday.   Rain amounts aren’t impressive with generally less than 0.5″ across the mountains and less far east.  Temperatures will be super warm Friday night so we will be watching for lightning and the potential for severe weather through Saturday as the front moves across the region.

Along with the potential of severe weather Saturday, record highs are expected to be widespread!
