Bitter cold tonight with sun returning Tuesday

The snow continues for the high country, as wintry weather is sticking around a little longer. Snow showers and icy conditions will continue into this evening, but things will start to improve just after midnight. Winter Weather Advisories will remain in place across this area until 1 am. 

For the rest of the region tonight is all about the chill that will take hold with teens and 20 in place for overnight lows.  This will be one the coldest evenings since early February, causing concern for a refreeze of roadways and black ice.

By tomorrow into the rest of the week, the forecast turns much quieter. Dry weather and sunshine will return, but temperatures stay on the cold side, with highs only reaching the upper 40s each afternoon. It’s that crisp, classic early-winter kind of chill.

By this weekend a small reward happens as temperatures are set to rebound into the 50s.
