Bitter cold tonight with sun returning Tuesday

TheΒ snow continues for theΒ high country,Β asΒ wintry weather is sticking around a little longer. Snow showers and icy conditions will continueΒ into thisΒ evening, but things will start to improveΒ just after midnight. Winter Weather Advisories will remain in place across this area until 1 am.Β 

For the rest of the region tonight is all about the chill that will take hold with teens and 20 in place for overnight lows.Β  This will be one the coldest evenings since early February, causing concern for a refreeze of roadways and black ice.

By tomorrow intoΒ the rest of the week, the forecast turns much quieter.Β Dry weather and sunshine will return,Β but temperatures stay on the coldΒ side, with highs only reaching the upper 40s each afternoon. It’s that crisp, classic early-winter kind of chill.

By thisΒ weekendΒ a smallΒ rewardΒ happens as temperatures are set to rebound into the 50s.
