Chilly evening with a gradual warm-up
Dry conditions persist with fire concerns
Tonight stays clear and cold with temperatures dipping back into the mid-20s by Tuesday morning. We are watching for very low dew points across the region and that is increasing the fire danger. The good news, we finally start to turn the corner tomorrow.
Tuesday still starts on the cold side, but things improve as the day goes on. Sunshine sticks around all day, and afternoon temperatures rebound into the upper 40s to low 50s. It will be a noticeable step in the right direction and the start of a gradual warming trend as high pressure moves in from the east.
Looking ahead, the warm-up continues! Wednesday brings a few more clouds, but morning temperatures start closer to freezing instead of the deep cold we’ve been dealing with. Highs will push into the upper 50s and may even flirt with 60 degrees in spots.
Thursday stays mild with highs near 60, though clouds will be on the increase. A few showers could develop late in the day, with the best chance for rain coming Thursday night.
Behind that system, Friday and Saturday cool down slightly, but nothing like what we saw this morning. Overnight lows remain above freezing, and daytime highs hold in the 50s, keeping us still comfortable for this time of year.
Sunday stands out as my pick day of the entire week! It looks to be the warmest day with increasing clouds, but it will be the best day to finish up that shopping.
