Cloudy start to Tuesday before turning sunny
Heading for a big December warm-up
Tonight, clouds stick around and temperatures stay on the mild side for December standards. It won’t be a cold night by any means, with lows settling into the 40s, so no heavy layers needed if you’re heading out this evening.
We’ll keep those clouds around through Tuesday, but don’t let the decreasing clouds fool you. Even with the cloud cover, temperatures will be climbing steadily. By midweek, highs move out of the 60s and into the 70s, just in time for Christmas Day.
70s grace us going into Christmas Day! Not exactly sweater weather, but certainly great if you’re traveling, hosting family, or sneaking in some time outdoors. The warmth doesn’t stop there as we head into Saturday, some spots could flirt with 80 degrees, which is well above average for this time of year.
A cooldown arrives Sunday, bringing temperatures back closer to normal. So, enjoy the warmth while it lasts as this is one of those stretches that feels like a bonus before the chill eventually makes its return.
